Twice during an SAT prep program, you will need to purchase a hand-scoring of your child’s SAT practice test. This has over 100 individual items.

Some tutors claim to have build a more accurate digital scoring algorithm, but my brain is able to watch for patterns as they emerge,  not just what’s programmed into an algorithm. I have years of experience with the SAT, and its changes every few years.

My SAT program is as follows:

Week 1: Meet and Greet, set goal score, address known weakness. Take SAT practice test at home.

Week 2: Hand scoring. Meeting is optional this week to work on known weaknesses.

Week 3: Review test results, identify areas to attack.

Weeks 3-?: Individual tutoring

Week?: Take second Practice test

Week ?: Hand scoring, Meeting for tutoring is optional this week. No need to burn our your student before the test.

Week ?: Meet to review second test, compare growth, identify further areas to study/practice.

Repeat practice test/tutoring procedure until goal score is reached. Most of my students only need two practice tests to obtain their goal.

I also use this same procedure for the ACT, PSAT, and other standardized tests.
